On Tuesday April 5th, Operator Willie Vazquez along with the help of several volunteers here at Station 26 went through our gear surplus to find items that could be donated to Project Joint Guardian to be sent to the first Responders in the Ukraine. Halfway was able to donate 21 pants and 17 jackets of extrication / flash protection Personal Protective Equipment.

Several months ago, a Engine Committee was apointed and began looking in to the purchase of a new Engine. Last month, their work moved forward with company approval and a new Pierce Enforcer Engine has been ordered!

On the morning of February 24th, Halfway was alerted for a Medic Unit to assist Williamsport Fire & EMS on a Personal Injury Collision on the Exit ramp of Interstate 81 onto Virginia Ave. Additional EMS was requested by command and Medic 26-8 responded to assist as the 2nd Medic Unit on the call.
