Established in 1949 The Halfway Volunteer Fire Co. has a long history of dedicated service to the surrounding communities.

Company 26 operates a modern fleet of fire and EMS apparatus that includes two engines, one aerial, three EMS units and a support unit.

It takes a team effort to operate an organization like a fire department. Meet our Operations Officers, who make up the leadership of Station 26.

Support our department by joining us at any of the many game we host each week.

To support the sudden residential and commercial growth of the area a new station was built between Williamsport and Hagerstown.

Our department relies solely on the donations and fundraising of our residents. Your support is appreciated

Located in the center of  Washington County, our department is the busiest fire and EMS agency outside of the Hagerstown city limits and responds to over 3,500 calls for service annually. Our combination career and volunteer department is dedicated to serving the citizens of Halfway and the surrounding area.

Halfway Volunteer Fire Co. is proud to utilize a majority of volunteer staffing however we are supplemented by full and part-time EMS crews. Each ambulance is staffed with a career EMT and Paramedic to supplement staff around the clock.
