Leitersburg Responds To Vehicle Fire In Halfway

On the afternoon of December 29th, Leitersburg Rescue Engine 91 transferred in to Halfway to cover the area while Engine 261 was operating on a Heavy Entrapment on Interstate 70. While standing by, Rescue Engine 91 responded with Ambulance 269 for a vehicle fire in the 17500 Block of Virginia Avenue. Crew arrived to find a passenger car with a working engine compartment fire. Crews off Rescue Engine 91 and Ambulance 269 were quick to deploy a Bumper line and quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.
