Halfway Responds To Vehicle Roll-Over

On the morning of July 22nd, Halfway was alerted for a vehicle overturned. Crews arrived to find a passenger vehicle on its's side with all occupants out of the vehicle. Deputy Chief 26 confirmed with the driver that there were no occupants inside the vehicle other than herself. Two other vehicles that were struck were unoccupied at the time. At that point Deputy Chief 26 held Company 26 units only and canceled the EMS Supervisor and Rescue Squad due on the call.

The driver was walking wounded and went with EMS to the ambulance to get checked out, while the Engine crew managed fluids that were leaking and clearing debris. Once the patient was evaluated, EMS obtained a patient refusal and cleared. The Engine crew remained on the scene until the vehicle was managed by the towing agency and removed from the roadway.
