Halfway Responds To Requests To Assist Franklin County Departments

If the Fire Service, Departments sometimes respond to other departments to cover their calls. In the past few days, Halfway has been called upon to assist departments in Franklin County Pennsylvania.

On January 27th, Franklin County had units respond for a Working Structure Fire on Path Valley Road in Metal Twp. Mercersburg EMS out of M.M.P.&W. responded on the box which went to 3 Alarms! While they were committed, Halfway Ambulance 269 responded to assist and filled-in covering their calls for over 7 1/2 hours. EMTs Taylor Gay and Alex Hasri handled the transfer running 3 calls while EMTs Ali Storer, Melonie Doyle, Aly Keyser covered Halfway with Ambulance 268!

On January 28th, New Franklin Fire Company 17 in Franklin County held their annual Fire Company Banquet. Firefighters Kenton Martin, Jacob VanMetre, and Kaylah Smothers went to New Franklin and covered their station while their personnel enjoyed a night of celebration! Thanks goes out to Kaylah Smothers for organizing our transfer crew so Halfway could fill-in allowing our New Franklin brethren to enjoy their night!
