Halfway Responds On 2nd Alarm In Hagerstown north End

On the Afternoon of March 21, Halfway was alerted on the 2nd Alarm Assignment for the Apartment Building Fire on Oak Hill Avenue in Hagerstown’s North End. Engine 26-1 staffed by Sgt. Toth, FAO Wegner and Firefighter Drawbaugh responded with a crew of 3. They assisted with fire suppression and overhaul operations and were committed on the scene for several hours. Additional personnel from Halfway responded to the station to staff Engine 26-2 and Tower 26 and covered calls in the area while Engine 26-1 was committed on the call.
