Halfway Responds Mutual Aid To Jefferson County To Assist The Blue Ridge Mountain Fire Company

On the night of August 17th, Halfway was alerted for Tower 26 to assist on an outside fire in Jefferson County WV. The Tower responded with a crew of three on the request. The Blue Ridge Mountain Fire Company had a large fire below the Rt115 Bridge that they were having access issues.

Tower 26 was requested due to it's Jib that can lower firefighters over the edge in the bucket. Tower 26 arrived and set up operations and flowed about 7000 gallons of water off the bucket to extinguish the fire. The Tower was committed on the scene for nearly 2 hours.
