Halfway Responds For Working Vehicle Fire At Exit 5A

On the morning of March 15th, Halfway was alerted for a reported vehicle fire on Interstate 81. Engine 26-1 arrived to find a vehicle on the ramp for Exit 5A fully engulfed. Firefighters quickly pulled an attack line and were able to extinguish the blaze within minutes after arrival. The ramp to Halfway Boulevard was temporarily shut down during fire department operations. No injuries were reported.
