Halfway Responds With Maugansville For RV Fire

On the night of January 27th, Washington County ECC received calls reporting an RV Fire on National Pike West of Hagerstown. Halfway was alerted on Box Assignment 13-2 to assist Maugansville Goodwill Fire Company. Engine 261 responded with a crew of 5. Firefighters arrived to find an RV located on the property full involved. Firefighters were committed for over an hour working to extinguish the blaze and assisting with overhaul operations.

The Maryland State Fire Marshals Office is currently investigating the incident. The investigators were able to determine the point of origin being the interior of the vehicle. There were no occupants found at the time of the blaze and no injuries reported. The incident remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshals Office.
