Halfway’s New Engine Is On The Assembly Line!

In March of 2022 Halfway signed the contract with Pierce Manufacturing for the purchase of a new Pierce Enforcer Pumper. Last September our Engine Committee went to Appleton Wisconsin to the Pierce Manufacturing Plant. After viewing other apparatus and multiple discussions, final specs were put in to place to begin work on our new Engine. On March 14th, we received official word that the truck has hit the assembly line and production has begun.

We look forward to taking delivery in late April to early May! This Engine will be equipped with an Enforcer chassis with a 177.5” Wheelbase, Seats six 6, Front and Side Roll Protection, TAK-4 Independent Front Suspension, Cummins X12 500HP, Waterous CSU 1500 GPM Pump, 750 Gallon Water Tank with a 150’ Booster Reel, HiViz LED Scene Lighting, a Whelen Emergency Lighting and more! This Engine will be designated as Engine 26-1 once placed in service at which time our Pierce PUC will be redesignated as Engine 26-2.
