The Volunteer Fire Company of Halfway, MD Inc. provides fire-based EMS through a
combination department consisting of volunteer, plus part-time and full-time Firefighter
Paramedics or EMTs.

Full Time Position With Benefits:

• County Corporation Salary Scale

• Annual and Sick leave

• 100 percent employee Health and 50 %

• Dependent coverage. STD and LTD

• 401K plan, 3% match and profit sharing

• 24-48 hr schedule and a Kelly relief position is available

• ALS Internships for Licensed Clinicians

Minimum Qualifications:

​

• Maryland ALS License or the ability to obtain MD Licensure

• Firefighter 1 (or the ability to obtain in one year employment)

• Emergency Vehicle Operator

• Haz-Mat Operations

• Successfully pass a field internship program

• Fast track internships available for experienced providers
